I spent the first four months of this year reorganising and refurbishing my studio. As usual this had a ripple effect and due to some obstacles, it took longer than I hoped. At last I am painting again!

I have also been entering art prizes, and have had a number of acceptances. M painting, 1920s A Cup of Tea and a Chat, which was not shown in my MVA collection, received highly commended awards from the Redlands Art Awards and the Callinan Chambers Art prize, where it is on show until next March.
My latest projects include a large landscape commission, some wave paintings, a landscape and a new still life.
I am loving being back painting again. The still life is particularly addictive, here is a small section of the first layer, which use some of my favourite colours. This layer has a very limited pallet of French Ultramarine Blue, Permanent Rose, Winsor Lemon and Titanium White.

In other news I am tutoring a watercolour class in support of the Morningside School of Arts through the 10 weeks of school term 3 this year. Details can be found on my Facebook and Instagram pages.
