Sometimes life just gets in the way! Lots going on while I plan my next series, some house renovations and supporting my family with their increasing training requirements, it is a busy and rewarding time. So I thought rather than stay quiet (though social media is my biggest struggle as an artist ) I would share some of the paintings in my private collection. This one “in The Shed” is my garden shed from many years ago, still a favourite and very nostalgic for me. I love plants and gardening, even if time is tight atm and my body now resents the effort I make! No pain no gain I believe the saying goes…

I had a great time this morning viewing Amanda van Gils latest show of stunning landscape paintings, though there is so much more to them than just landscapes. The emotion, use of colour, gesture and contrast are enthralling. It is only on this week at the janmantongallery in Tenerife, Brisbane. Open 10am-4pm if you are in the area I recommend a visit.
