I am delighted to be part of this years brisbanerotaryartshow. I attended the artists event yesterday with my beautiful friend Catherine Rashford. I spent today in the studio drawing up a new still life, I have been playng with the set up since Monday. I had a fantastic day out yesterday sketching the urban landscape in Southbank with the talented stuartmeyerplath. This loose watercolour sketch was the result.
I did discover one problem with rearranging my studio - I struggle to remember the new home for some items leading to extended searches! Though sometimes I have discovered the items have been borrowed by the family. đ€Ł #juliecanefineart #brisbaneartist #australianartist #urbansketching #fineart #outinnature #localartist #watercolour #stilllife

I know I havenât been posting much, life with two athletes in the family is a little crazy!
At Easter I got the family together and after a struggle we finally erected the miss-named âEasy Shedâ which has helped with storage - much needed!
Then after a week finishing the sanding and polishing of the table tops, I have finished the studio refit, though there is a bit of sorting out still to do. I am super excited about this!
This week I have stretched some canvases, added a couple of layers of gesso to them and got the go ahead for the commission I am working on. That is now drawn up and I will start the first layer of painting this arvo. Have a fabulous weekend everyone. đ„°
