Description

Tea? 1910s is from the Tea? series. It depicts the tradition of enjoying a cup of tea and biscuits with a friend and sitting down together for a conversation to catch up with each other's news. This can be an important emotional support system and is an invaluable part of our culture.

For the 1910s, my research led me back to Camp Hill Antique Centre and the collection of vintage tablecloths one of their delightful vendors has in stock. I was blessed to find this delightful white floral cutwork patterned cloth to fit the Art Nouveaux style of this decade

The 1910s crockery research lead me to seeking crockery of the Art Nouveaux style pattern. I found this stylish pattern by Aynsley Potteries, England. It has been a challenge to paint – but that's what makes it fun!

Arrowroot Biscuits and Scotch fingers (shortbread) were widely enjoyed in the 1910s

Owning a 'Julie Cane' enables you to enjoy something you love forever, and to experience the highest quality, collectable fine art enriching your home. My art is featured in many collections, including England, USA and Australia. This piece would make a great investment for your home or office.
